Interiors Update
The chilly nights are drawing in, the “stretch in the evenings” are becoming a distant memory, and the M&B team are excitedly adding new autumn products to the shelves every day ahead of the cosiest time of year.
Whether you’re finally moving into your new home and looking for the final touches or updating your home ahead of the countless visitors over the winter, we are here to help make your home winter friendly with a few styling tips.
Colour Palette
Colour palette is the perfect place to start. We typically say goodbye to bright, summer colours and swap them out for richer colours. For the season, we have six main colour palettes; Spiced Berry, Ochre and Grey, Millennial Pink, Sage Green, Smoke Blue and Marrs Green.

When introducing new colour into your home, think about the colours you like to wear in your clothing and accessories as a good place to start. If you never get tired of the Ochre handbag and always team it with your favourite grey knitwear, then imagine how you would incorporate that into your spaces.

Once you have decided on your colours, pick a few key pieces to introduce it into your home. We have a selection of Meadows and Byrne cushions and throws as well our curated Avoca range to update your space with your preferred autumn palette without committing to painting or fixtures in the tone.
Texture & Layers
We use a range of throws and textiles to add texture making your space a feast for the senses. We love using thick faux fur throws because they are full of texture and readily available to grab and keep you toasty.

Sheepskin rugs also work as the perfect rug to layer in your living or bedroom to add warmth and texture, especially when you contrast with another velvet chair to complete the look.

Autumn Foliage
Bringing the outdoors in is a great way to give your interiors a Scandi inspired natural touch. We offer a range of faux garlands, wreaths, branches and flowers to incorporate this tip into your home. These faux plants are beautifully textured to give them a realistic look and are an affordable and lasting accessory.

Seasonal Scents
Filling your spaces with a scent you love is one of the easiest ways to make it feel like a home. Is there anything cosier than having your favourite candle burning?
